DAYTON PERMITS UP 36% YEAR TO DATE

New construction single family permits increased 118% in March 2012 compared to February 2012 in the 5 county Dayton region which consists of Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Preble counties.  Comparing March 2012 (83 permits) to March 2011 (65 permits), permits are up 28%.  Comparing single family permits issued during the first quarter of 2012 (177) to the first quarter of 2011 (129), permits are up 36%.  The 12 month trailing average for single family permits continued to rise to 59.6 permits monthly.
